Facts & figures:
The number of people enslaved worldwide is estimated to be anywhere between
21 and 36 million, 26% of which are children under the age of 18.
Almost 50% of modern slaves are enslaved in India, with
China and Pakistan holding second and third place.
A common misconception is that slave labour and human trafficking is primarily
limited to the sex industry, but as many as 78% of slaves
world wide are victims of forced labour in industries
that are not related to sex.
Opus Performance acknowledges responsibility to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is committed to ensuring transparency within the organisation and with suppliers of goods and services to the organisation.
We are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
We aim to source within the UK and Europe
Where possible we build longstanding relationships with local suppliers and make clear our expectations and business behaviour
When we use national or international supply chains, we only have points of contact with a UK company or branch and we expect these entities to have suitable anti-slavery and human trafficking policies and processes, and to provide us with proof of compliance
We will continually monitor our suppliers commitment to the anit-slavery and human trafficking policies
